Snow Photos in January in Ohio

The Winter of 2014 is one making records. We are so far past the amount of snow we should have, let alone the rigid freezing weather making history in this area. The whole country has been affected but the Midwest especially so with fresh snow coming down again as I write this.

Photos of the snow are always beautiful to take and view while it's still white and pristine. For me it just keeps me in and doing things about the house that need doing.

Decided to redo the floors in a couple of the bedrooms. The laminate choice here is a little lighter with the dark areas to tie everything together with the furniture. As you can see I keep a few different Yorkies in here.

I love the laminate choice here for my bedroom. The nice thing about both these is that they have a little texture to the laminate that is sorely lacking in most laminate.

U nas nie ma śniegu i mrozu i rośliny budzą się do życia. Martwi mnie to, bo boję się, że jak przyjdą mrozy, to będą szkody w ogrodzie. U Ciebie jest biało i rośliny są przykryte śniegiem. Pozdrawiam .
We do not have snow and frost and the plants come to life. It worries me, because I'm afraid that, as the frosts come, there will be damage in the garden. Your place is white and the plants are covered with snow. Yours.

The snow does looks so pretty but we hope it doesn't get any worse than it is now, and that things get back to 'normal' there as it should be.

At least you have been productive Cher, and liking those laminate floors :)

Your snow is pretty, but I'm glad I do not live in it.

We've had rain going on the 4th day now, and I've been working on indoor projects too.

Love your new laminate flooring.

Enjoy being indoors in your lovely, cozy and warm home.

Your new floors are just gorgeous, Cher! You made great decorating choices. Your garden looks beautiful in its' snow cover.

Your bad weather is certainly making headlines over here Cher!
Your floors are looking good - it's good to keep busy when there is nothing you can do outdoors.
Snow is forecast here for next week and I'm going to paint the sitting room - my new suite comes a week Monday.

Your garden is pretty in winter, especially with lots of structure to highlight the snow.
I noticed the yorkies in the bedroom right away, a nice collection..
We have pre-finished hardwood floors in our home with only laminate in the basement family room. I don't miss carpet at all and the floors are so easy to keep clean.
I'm admiring the quilts on the beds, love the pink one Cher.
Stay warm!

The snow has kept ME "in", too! Just wish I had as much to show for it as you do!

You sure DO have a few Yorkies in that bedroom :) The laminate floors are beautiful!

Stay warm; stay safe. Dream of spring along with me.

I like your floors. It all looks so warm and cozy! And the snowy views outside are pretty, too. And spring isn't so far away. I was wondering how your Japanese Maple 'Fireglow' does in the freezing weather. Our little tree is looking pretty sad right now, but I'm hoping it will leaf out in the spring.

So viel Schnee! Das hatten wir schon lange nicht mehr.

Den Laminatboden finde ich in dem warmen Dunkelbraun sehr schön.

I really like both of those floors. Are you happy with the laminate? I am thinking of putting it in a couple of my rooms this spring.

forgot to ask...

did you make those lovely quilts on the beds?

Love snow when it's fresh like in your photos!
The floors look good. I like the dark finish in the texture. Really gives it a warm look not too slick.

Your floors look great and you'll never have to worry about refinishing the wood. I love how fresh everything looks covered in snow. Our snow is gone and we have tons of mud!

It must be very cold over there! But the snow does look so beautiful!
Nice laminated floor!

Look at that nice deep snow! Looks like you got your share and ours. Pretty new floors! We were just looking at laminate the other day - much more dog friendly. I liked the one with texture too.

Hi Cher, it looks so cold still there. It's good you're safe in the enclosure of your home, maybe winter is really the time for gardeners to do some things inside, or if it's always like here in the tropics, we always want to be outside in the garden sacrificing those indoors. Keep safe and keep warm.

I used to live in KY Louisville for a very short time, but can't remember that part of US to have such cold and snowy winters!!! Has it always been like that?

Your floors are beautiful, and I really like the color of them, especially the first one. I think the dark areas make it look so warm and homey. Nice that they're adding texture to the flooring, too. The snow is beautiful.

As someone from South Texas, it is still a shock to see all of the snow people have.
What a winter!

That is a very beautiful quilt in the bottom photo! I bet there's a story on that one. A granny perhaps, made it?
