Gardens Pine Sambucus Coneflower Daylily

This weather has sure been different. I did a lot of transplanting of my Lavender last week and went into the 90's the following day so it's burning up. Will plant a few others to take their place if they don't recover soon. Here is what is going on now.

Pinus S. Glauca Nana in full flush of new growth with some Hosta, Mums and Heuchera.

Daylily Stella de Oro in first bloom for the year.

Coneflower Ruby Star had it's first bloom June 1st. This was a first for me here this early.

Orange Butterfly Weed opening up a lot now.

Red Scabiosa blooming. I love the flowers but don't really care for the long stems.

Yarrow really lightening up to white now.

I had to show my Sambucus Black Lace again to show how white these flower heads have gotten in just this last week. I love this shrub and for those that can't have Japanese Maple or maybe don't want a tree because of height, this is a fabulous alternative to one. Once established they grow really fast. 2 winters ago something had gotten in my yard and ate it down to 2 little sticks. Had to be rabbits but can't figure out how they got in with my privacy fence. Well it's made up for it now. Pruned it back this year to let it fill out and it is definitely doing that. Expect it will be up to the height of the fence shortly. Enjoy your day.

Wow, I can't believe how early your coneflower is starting! Everything looks so lovely in your garden. I've never seen a scabiosa that beautiful colour before.

My scabiosa is a light blue and does not seem to have survived the winter this year. I had it for three years. I will replace it because it was really lovely.

Cheers!

Your garden is so beautiful... Now the flowers are blooming and offer new colours to your garden...

Scabiosa is one of those flowers I've admired in the gardens of others but never got around to planting. Maybe it wants close companions to go with those long stems? You have so many pretties in bloom. Hot weather is upon us, too. I am already deadheading echinacea.

Looks lovely. I am still in love with that Sambucus. Hope your lavender makes it.

Everything does look so beautiful. I had big plans for my garden this year but life got in the way. I hopefully can start in August with some building...

Hi Cher,
I just popped over to see if you had any pictures of your Heuchera 'Tiramisu' and 'Caramel' since I could not reply to your comment (you come in as anonymous). I would love to see yours!
