Garden Hostas Butterfly Weed Astilbe

The stifling heat has continued but we are to cool off some this week. What a welcome relief.

The Butterfly Weed is in full bloom and the Daisys to the left are ready to burst into bloom.

 Hosta Inniswood is blooming.

Hosta Frances Williams blooming.

Atilbe blooming away.

Hydrangea Forever and Ever. Bloom starting. I've never been happy with the two of these I have. They die back in winter here and start over at the root in Spring. Believe these are going to be dug up this fall and let my brother put them out on his farm. The few flowers they get are pretty but there is so many good things out there for me to waste room on something with so little return.

Looking great! I just love hostas, mine are still far from blooming. Nice idea to give the hydrangea to your brother who has more room. We do have to maximize the space we have, that's for sure! Enjoy your Sunday!

Your butterfly weed is ahead of mine. I am still looking for it to come up.

Your hostas are coming along nicely. I have the same issues with hydrangea but I love the flowers so much I plan to keep trying until I figure out how to grow them here.

I love astilbe and yours is so pretty. It takes a few years for hydrangeas to grow enough so that they do not die back to the roots and start over. You might want to give them a couple more years just to be sure. Ohio winters are so strange. LOL! Well then again this has been a strange year altogether.

What beautiful flowers you have! My favorite is the Hosta Frances William-so dainty and regal.
Hope you have a great day, lindy! :)

Everything's looking good, despite the heat. I have a couple of hydrangeas I threaten every year to remove. Perhaps one day I'll actually get the backbone to do it! As you say, there are lots of better plants I could put there.

I haven't heard of Butterfly weed. They look beautiful! I like your Hosta too. I guess these are not plants for the tropics.

Lovely flowers.
I believe I have the Coreopsis Moonbeam. The deer like to snack on them, but they still keep coming back. Hardy flower!
