Knockout Roses Leafing Out

I love Roses but only have so much room and also am not interested in having to spray them so I have the wonderful easy care Double Knockouts. They did bloom constantly last year and are already leafing out so I hope that is not a problem with them doing so this early with the snow we had yesterday.

The Heuchera's are ones that are evergreen and the greenery coming up already is mums. I need to get out there during April and move some of these things to allow the growth I'm going to allow on the Knockout. It will be so nice for everything to leaf out so I can get some decent photos. I guess I am kind of anxious.

I hope weather is better the next few days so I can finish the leaf cleanup around the plants and do the pruning to be all ready for the new growth this year.

Don't you just love knockout roses? They just keep blooming all summer long. Mine are sprouting out too but this cold weather is going to slow them down some.

I will have to check out knockout roses...I am all for big impact, lots of blooms and little work :)

Thank you for stopping by and checking out my garden...I still have lots of herbs in pots to be put in the dirt yet, I intend to incorporate some as ground covers in my flower beds and just adore how pretty Thyme looks in hanging baskets...Maybe you could find just a little room to add some too :)

Happy gardening Blessings Kelsie

I love knockout roses - they really are easy care. I don't spray, either, and although some people don't like them, I appreciate their disease resistance. The snow shouldn't have a negative effect on yours. Mine are just about to bloom!

I love roses as well and have had great luck with the Knock Out series. I rakes off all of my Heucheras this week, they are becoming one of my favorite plants with all the different varieties out there.

I just noticed your little Yorkies in your header. They are adorable. I've marked myself down as a follower of you as well. Looking forward to more photos.

Like you, I appreciate the disease resistance of knockout roses, because I don't spray. I had three when I lived in Virginia.

Hi Cher,

Thanks for your suggestion. I guess I need to 'think outside the box' of my garden. I have some pictures of our property in a set on my flickr page. If you'd like to check them out:

I love our knockout roses. They get taller than our house and my husband swears I'm having him kill them every year when I have him cut them way back. They are already blooming like crazy here in GA. Thanks for following Life or Something Like It, following back.
