Hard to believe that Nov 17, 2014 has already brought this amount of snow to Ohio. Looks like it definitely is going to be another year like last winter which was awful. </div>

The main garden always looks pretty though, whether it's all alight with the colors of the season or covered in white snow, looking almost like a black and white photo, other than the peek of green on the Pinus Nana on standard or the burgundy leaves still showing on the Acer p. Fireglow.<br />

<div align="left">
I did a lot of work out here this year with all of the losses to be had after last winter. The right side here is bare but I had just cut back any perennials and had added the Japanese Maple in there. Figure it will take a few years to fill in like I want. Next Spring I intend to remove my Crabapple from the front yard and move this Paperbark to that location. I love the Crabapple, It's a glorious tree in spring but the suckers from it are way more than I ever planned and I just don't want to deal with them. This is a huge project so my brother will be coming in to handle this for me. The Paperbark has only been in a couple years so I should be alright moving it.</div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
The other side of the Hosta bed. I just finished the right side of this. There are Hosta in the corner area and all alongside the shed. Should come in looking good for next year. Hoping I can keep the Hosta doing well with slugs. If not I'll have to rethink the plantings. Have possible changes I'll make on the left with shrubs but will wait to see how things look next year with what I have there right now.</div>

<div align="left">
The summer heat is always horrible in the month of August and of course our gardens start suffering by this time of the year, although this year has been so much better than the last few and although Spring was late and most of us suffered losses from the past Winter, overall it's been a really good gardening season.</div><BR>
<div align="center">
<img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2014/814DLRubySpiderPlumPerfect.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 814DLRubySpiderPlumPerfect.jpg"/>

<div align="center">
<img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2014/814HostaBed1.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 814HostaBed1.jpg"/>
</div>
<div align="left">
The Daylilies start out next to the Hosta bed and the Japanese Maple Emperor 1.</div><BR>
<div align="center">
<img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2014/814ShedBed.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 814ShedBed.jpg"/></div>
<div align="left">
I moved Honeysuckle Major Wheeler up here from the Daylily and Iris bed and pruned it up quite a bit and it hasn't missed a beat.</div><BR>
<div align="center">
<img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2014/814DaylilyIris.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 814DaylilyIris.jpg"/>
</div>
<div align="left">
After moving out the Honeysuckle, I added in the Sambucus Sutherland Gold. It should some years down the road fill out most of the backdrop shown here and the Sambucus Black Lace to the left does well in this dry area so felt this would be a good choice. Love the golden fern like leaves of the Sambucus shrubs.</div><BR>
<div align="center">
<img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2014/814SmoketreeBed.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 814SmoketreeBed.jpg"/>
</div>
<div align="left">
Another gold one that I added in a couple years ago. The Gold Smoketree. I am very happy at the growth it has put on this year. Blooms take a couple years so I am assuming next year it will bloom and add to the beauty. Hydrangea Limelight and Quickfire on each side.</div><BR>
<div align="center">
<img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2014/814PPProcumbensOrRockets.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 814PPProcumbensOrRockets.jpg"/>
</div>
<div align="left">
Another area I have redone. Pulled out a Lilac and Hydragnea Vanilla Strawberry. Neither doing what I wanted. The center conifer is Picea pungens Procumbens that I will train up about 5 foot and then let weep. On each side I have added the new Barberry called Orange Rockets. Size is still up in the air but going by Sooner Nursery they feel they will be 6 to 8 feet which is my hope of over 6. The color combination should be great, now for the patience to watch them mature.</div><BR>
<div align="center">

This past Winter has taken it's toll on most of us this year. I am still counting my losses. Have done some replacing so far. My conifers look to be ok as our my trees, but I think I have a tremendous amount of loss with my Heather although I am going to give it a couple more weeks before replacing it. That will be a massive job although I have replaced a few in the back.</div><BR>

<div align="left">
Malus Purple Prince AKA Crabapple, finally blooms here in Ohio. Pruned out 1/3 of this tree last year as it was so thick with berries the branches were on the ground and it was difficult mowing. After flowering I will prune out some of the lower limbs on the branches again this year.</div><BR>
<div align="center">

<div align="left">
We have almost nothing blooming here after our Winter and things are just starting to leaf out. The Acer palmatum Fireglow is starting to leaf out as are the Ninebarks to the left and the Hydrangea to the right.</div><BR>
<div align="center">
<img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2014/Iris414.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Iris414.jpg"/></div>
<div align="left">
The Iris are coming up well and will start their blooming later this month. Everything should be much further along like the Iris are but only a few other things are growing fast. The <a href="http://www.goldenrayyorkies.com/">Yorkie</a> from the dog museum highlights this area.</div><BR>
<div align="center">
<img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2014/FothergillaMtAiry4-14.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo FothergillaMtAiry4-14.jpg"/></div>
<div align="left">
I added this Fothergilla Mt Airy last Fall to the gardens and I love what I see with it's start to the season.</div><BR>

<div align="left">
The Hydrangea Limelight. I have two of these in the yard. This particular one looks like those are new blooms on it but those are leftover from last year, the other one the blooms are typical and showing burn on them from the seasons.</div><BR>
<div align="center">
<img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2014/HyacinthGrape414.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo HyacinthGrape414.jpg"/></div>
<div align="left">
The Grape Hyacinth are up and blooming and adding a little bit of color into the yard this Spring. Since there is so little of that to be seen I had to get a photo.
I'm spending my time now waiting a couple weeks if I can hold out and see what all I need to replace. Not only has Spring taken forever to arrive but with so much lost and appears lost, we in the North are using up even more of our gardening season.</div><BR>

<div align="left">
The Winter of 2014 is one making records. We are so far past the amount of snow we should have, let alone the rigid freezing weather making history in this area. The whole country has been affected but the Midwest especially so with fresh snow coming down again as I write this.</div>

Photos of the snow are always beautiful to take and view while it's still white and pristine. For me it just keeps me in and doing things about the house that need doing.</div><BR>

Decided to redo the floors in a couple of the bedrooms. The laminate choice here is a little lighter with the dark areas to tie everything together with the furniture. As you can see I keep a few different <a href="http://www.goldenrayyorkies.com/">Yorkies</a> in here.</div><BR>

I love the laminate choice here for my bedroom. The nice thing about both these is that they have a little texture to the laminate that is sorely lacking in most laminate.</div>

<div align="left">
Winter hit Ohio early this year with snow on the ground in October. Without any doubt, our weather continues to be strange in some manner each year. Thankfully it was a great gardening season this year and I can only hope for the same next year.</div>

<div align="left">
The yard is always shockingly bare when all the perennials are cutback to go into the Winter season. The Japanese Maple Fireglow stands out with the Hydrangea Tardiva showing their lovely yellow Fall colors and I am so glad that I changed to all the flowering shrub to add the Winter interest for me.</div><BR>
<div align="center">
<img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2013/1113LeftTop.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 1113LeftTop.jpg"/></div>
<div align="left">
The beautiful Ninebarks. Although these are burgundy year round, showing Diablo and Center Glows here, the color holding throughout the seasons, they intensify some in the Fall.</div><BR>
<div align="center">
<img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2013/1113Backline.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 1113Backline.jpg"/></div>
<div align="left">
Hydrangea Limelight on left with Hydrangea QuickFire on right and the Cotinus Golden Spirit in the center. The Cotinus (Smoketree) is golden all season, but enhances with red into the Fall. Hopefully this backline of shrubs along with the others back here really takes off next year with growth.</div><BR>
<div align="center">
<img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2013/1113PiceaAbies.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 1113PiceaAbies.jpg"/></div>

<div align="left">
Some more Ninebark Diablo's on the other side of the yard. I love these beauties. I do have some Spirea's in between there but moved them forward right before the photos and most of the leaves dried up on them. I found that the Ninebarks tend to be more weepers and because of that had to move forward some shrubs more than I originally had them.</div><BR>

Not to forget some of the perennials. Hosta Brass Ring is one of the most outstanding to show the color change.</div><BR>

A beautiful Orchid a neighbor brought me down recently. Not the best situation here for inside plants but I'll enjoy it's lovely blooms for the time being. Of course you can see a couple of the other <a href="http://www.goldenrayyorkies.com/YorkieCollection.html">Yorkie collection</a> items in this photo. Hope you all have some wonderful holidays.</div><BR>

Just breaking dawn with mostly rainy weather for picture taking. Has been a very different year compared to last, but much more appreciated with the additional rainfall. I only needed to water 3 times this year compared to last year where there may have been 3 days I didn't have to water.</div>

On around to some of the Ninebark Diablo's and the lovely Hydrangea Pinky Winky and Hydrangea Quickfire along with the big Hosta garden. I added a few new shrubs to this area but they aren't real noticeable yet. Will be something new to look forward to next year.</div><BR>

Was outside one morning very early and Pagan ran over to the potty pad to potty and looked down and sniffed and when she moved I saw the little toad. Got my camera and got a shot. I think it's actually one of those tree toads. There were 2 under the patio, but the other one I took the photo was on concrete and it didn't come out very well.</div><BR>

<br />
<div align="left">
Hydrangea are blooming in the gardens. June always brings Quickfire blooming and July has the others blooming with TarDiva being the last to do so. To the right of them is a new shrub I just added, Fothergilla Mt Airy. I still have to add something to the right of that but nothing has struck me for it so we'll see what I do there. Still waiting for some of the Hosta to grow up here. A couple more years and this area should be just what I wanted.</div>
<br />
<div align="center">

<div align="left">
The pink Mums have been blooming since the first of July. The burgundy ones are blooming elsewhere in the yard. You can see Hydrangea TarDiva to the left here.</div><BR>
<div align="center">
<img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2013/HydrangeaLimelight813.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo HydrangeaLimelight813.jpg"/></div><BR>
<div align="left">
Hydrangea Limelight. Still one of the most spectacular Hydrangeas to own. The blooms are always spectacular and showy.</div><BR>
<div align="center">
<img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2013/HydrangeaTarDiva813.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo HydrangeaTarDiva813.jpg"/></div><BR>
<div align="left">
Hydrangea TarDiva is less showy than Limelight, yet I like it's more delicate blooms and is a little different than the bolder paniculatas.</div><BR>

Hydrangea Pinky Winky is one that I just adore since adding two to my gardens, the blooms are spectacular.</div><BR>

<div align="left">
Hydrangea QuickFire I love for it's early blooming each year in June. The blooms quickly go from white to the pinkish shade and are delicate looking. I have 3 of these in the yard and they all look great this year.</div><BR>

<div align="left">
Hydrangea Vanilla Strawberry has been in for several years now. I'm not happy at the slow amount of growth and lack of fullness. It really should have done better this year with the amount of rain we have gotten. I will watch it another year or so and see what it does.</div><BR>

<div align="left">
This Spring and Summer has been a world of difference from last year. No drought, although a lot more days in the 90's than in years past, but we have had lots more rain than we've had in numerous years and the plants sure appreciate it.</div>

<div align="left">
This side of the yard and the biggest garden area is really starting to fill in since changing to mostly flowering shrubs 3 years ago. I think a couple more years and it will be what I have envisioned.</div><BR>
<img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2013/CrimsomQueen713.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo CrimsomQueen713.jpg"/><BR>

<div align="left">
The back line has been a little more frustrating. It's taking longer to fill in. For some reason the shrubs are growing a little slower, of course it's not all the same ones or they've not been in quite as long. I was hoping they'd all take a big leap this year growing, but so far just small amounts.</div><BR>
<img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2013/SideLeft713.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo SideLeft713.jpg"/><BR>

<div align="left">
This side is doing a little better with it's growth also, although I still have to add one more shrub in the Hosta garden. The Japanese Maple here is Emperor 11 and is new of last Fall so it has a way to grow before it provides shade for the Hosta.</div><BR>

Spring was a long time coming this year. We're to get frost again tonight though. I know it will do a little damage to Hosta but that's part of gardening. Things are behind but at least everything is finally growing for the season here.</div>

The beautiful Malus Purple Prince. Even with suckering, I love this Crabapple. It has bloomed faithfully for me ever year.</div>

<div align="left">
My Bloomerang Lilac must be in it's 3rd Summer for me this year. It had bloomed both the first year and although still not at top height yet, this year it bloomed abundantly and I am quite happy with it's 3rd year in the ground.</div>
<br />
<div align="center">

The lovely Heather Hill on the front side of my house. I have a few newer ones in there planted last year but they'll be up to size within a couple more years. The upper parts are my patchwork Sedums.</div>

This is where the garden beds were taken out last summer. With what is left it's starting to grow in and you can see the Sambucus Black Lace leafed out.</div>

The back line is coming along. Hoping to get some height and fullness on the flowering shrubs. Most everything else here was new last year and will take a couple more years to fill in the areas.</div>

The Acer p. Emperor 1 was put in last fall so a lot of years yet for that to develop to a decent size, but felt it would be a compliment as well as some shade for this Hosta bed.</div>
<div align="left">
Hope your Spring has been a better growing season than mine has been so far although we sure have gotten the rain which should be a big bonus for everything growing well over the next month.</div>

<div align="left">
My Heuchera collection did not do quite as bad this year as a great deal of my perennials with the drought and extreme heat we've had in Ohio. The hardest hit by the drought were the smaller immature ones, although all had some burned leaves, some more than others.</div>
<br />

<div align="left">
Heuchera Silver Scrolls and Heuchera Blackout. Silver Scrolls is absolutely a beautiful Coral Bells with it's very unique leaves. It's a little smaller Coral Bells than the others I have so if placing a group of varieties, this would be one towards the front. Love it. Blackout has very dark leaves and they seem to stay dark. So far it is handling itself here well.</div>

<div align="left">
Heuchera Prince and Heuchera Can Can. Love them both, they both do extremely well in my area and are evergreen and handled this year's drought and extreme heat in full sun.</div>

<div align="left">
Heuchera Plum Pudding and Heuchera Beaujolais. Plum Pudding is beautiful. Hard to tell from the photo but the leaves have very unique markings, love it. Beaujolias so far has done really well in this extreme heat and drought and both have been evergreen for me here.</div>
<br />
<div align="center">
<img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/HeucheraMidnightRosePalacePurple.jpg" /></div>
<div align="left">
Heuchera Midnight Rose and Heuchera Palace Purple. Midnight Rose is one of the most beautiful Coral Bells and handles horrible weather and is evergreen so far here. Palace Purple has been around from the early beginnings of the colored Coral Bells. It's prime looks are in the Spring, but I find it suffers in full sun more than most of the ones I have.</div>
<br />
<div align="center">

<div align="left">
Heuchera Melting Fire and Heuchera Volcano. Melting Fire is one of my very favorites and handles all the horrible weather it's been put through this year. Volcano is still young but so far is doing well and both are evergreen for me.</div>

Heuchera Georgia Peach and Heuchera Stormy Seas. Love both of these, both have handled the horrible weather this year and still look great. Both are evergreen for me.</div>

<div align="left">
Heuchera Dark Secret and Heuchera Frosted Violet. I love both of these, especially Dark Secret which handles all weather even the drought. Frosted Violet really is a very pretty purple. Both are evergreen for me.</div>
<br />
<div align="center">
<img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/HeucheraCaramelTiramisu.jpg" /></div>
<div align="left">
Heuchera Caramel and Heuchera Tiramisu. Caramel is my favorite gold and tolerates a lot, absolutely love this Coral Bells. Tiramisu is a beautiful plant but it has had a very difficult time in full sun, hence it's small size after a few years. It's in a new location for a month now, still full sun, but not quite as intense so I am hoping it will do better next year where I moved it to. Both are evergreen for me.</div>
<br />
<div align="center">
<img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/HeucheraBressinghamSnowAngel.jpg" /></div>
<div align="left">
Heuchera Bressingham and Heuchera Snow Angel. Both are green but such lovely plants. Bressingham's blooms are so eye catching, you notice them across the yard. Snow Angel is heavily variegated with white, although this particular photo did not catch it very well. Will try for a better one next year. Very pretty plant. Both are evergeen for me.</div>
<br />
<div align="center">
<img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/HeucheraBinoacheBrownSugar.jpg" /></div>
<div align="left">
Heuchera Binoache and Heuchera Brown Sugar are both new to me this year. One of the important things I've noticed about Coral Bells is that you have better luck with at least a quart size plant. Anything smaller has too much of a chance of burning up over the summer with the stress of being new and not having enough leaves to help itself along. With a larger plant, if the top leaves burn up as they were all doing this year to some extent with our drought and extreme heat, the burned up leaves are there to protect the lower leaves and the plant will survive. Hoping they are also evergreen.</div>

<div align="left">The Acer palumatum Fireglow has to be one of the best Japanese Maples to own. Does great in full sun here in zone 6 and even though everything is cut back except for the Mums and the Hosta, this garden still looks good with the JM and the Pinus s. Glauca Nana and Mums, even though the Hosta are pretty much gone for the year. Unfortunately we are technically still in drought and things just did not give much Fall color this year. I kept waiting for it to but it started coloring and went straight to leaf drop before things finished coloring.

</div>
<br />
<div align="left">
With Fall here it's time for the cleanup that needs done. Until last weekend the weather had been quite nice and I had only cut back the Iris and Daylilies. This last week I started cutting back a few more things. I'm trying something new with my Hosta. I've always cut back in the fall. This year I'm going to let them go to mush and then pull up the mess. It has been mentioned that you get some slug eggs that way. So we'll see how this goes.</div>
<br />
<div align="center">
<img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/JM1012.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></div>
<div align="left">
The Japanese Maple is Fireglow. I love the dark burgundy color of this tree. This is the area that I took out more than half a bed. Most of the Hosta that were here are now potted and will be part of my secret garden, which I'm hoping I have no problem with them surviving the Winter in pots. I left a few that were there and moved in a few to the spots of ones I was taking out. The Pinus s. Glauca Nana and Mums remained also. I was going to take all of this area out, but I was afraid I would lose the Japanese Maple and left this small area.</div>
<br />
<div align="center"><img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/BBPatio1012.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></div>
<div align="left">
This was the home of my Echinacea and Daisies. I hated losing the whole bed which looked so lovely but it was time to reduce my load. Because of leaving the Japanese area above and to keep this area an even grass path, I had to fill this part in with the pavers so I just made it a little patio area. You can see the grass seed filling in now in part of the area that I took out. I did keep a few small clumps of the Echinacea and transplanted them elsewhere in the yard and one small clump of Daisies which were also transplanted elsewhere. Most of the rest was given away. You can see most of the areas around this have already been cut back for Winter.</div>

Hydrangea Pinky Winky changing to it's pink color. I've been very happy with this Hydrangea and in fact have two of them, one on each side of the yard. They do extremely well in full sun.</div>

Well as always you can count of the Double Knockout Roses to bloom. Even with the drought and extreme heat of this Summer, these continued to bloom for me. In front of it is Lavander which does extremely well in heat. Just make sure you provide Lavendar with good drainage.</div>

<div align="left">The gardening season has been the worst I recall for most of us in the country. The heat and drought just did not give us a break here. I lost lots of plants and the ones that are here did not do well. My Hydrangeas did not bloom as well as normal, I believe most of their buds just burnt up. I'm hoping next year is an improvement and I've just been glad for what I do have.</div><br />
<div align="center"><img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/HydrangeaPinkyWinky812.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></div><div align="left">Hydrangea Pinky Winky. I love this Hydrangea. Nice big blooms this year so I expect it to get better as it matures.</div><br />
<div align="center"><img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/HydrangeaVanillaStrawberry812.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></div><div align="left">Hydrangea Vanilla Strawberry. Love this one. Last year was the first blooms and I got I believe 3 on it. Still not mature but there are blooms everywhere. It's normally not this sparse of leaves but the heat and drought took it's toll on most of my Hydrangea and it lost most it's leaves, but it still put out lots of blooms.</div><br />
<div align="center"><img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/HydrangeaLimelight812.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></div><div align="left">Hydrangea Limelight. Thankfully can live through most anything. It didn't grow this year, but then nothing else did either. The blooms are smaller than normal but it does have them.</div><br />
<div align="center"><img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/HydrangeaTarDiva912.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></div><div align="left">Hydrangea TarDiva. This one probably looks the worst for blooms. I have 2 and this one has the most blooms but they are very little.</div><br />
<div align="center"><img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/HydrangeaQuickFire712.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"><img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/HydrangeaQuickFire812.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></div><div align="left">Hydrangea Quickfire. In July and August going through it's changes of color. Unfortunately in this weird year, Quickfire started blooming in MAY, and the buds and blooms finally burnt up before we headed into fall.</div><br />
<div align="center"><img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/CaryopterisBlueMistSpirea912.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></div><div align="left">The Caryopteris Blue Mist Shrub, in the Spirea family of shrubs is blooming well this year.</div><br />
<div align="center"><img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/MumsBurgundy812.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></div><div align="left">The burgundy Mums are doing ok as a rule, but a couple are pretty burnt up also.</div><br />
<div align="center"><img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/Yarrow812.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></div><div align="left">Of course the trustworthy Yarrow. It grows and even blooms no matter the weather.<br />
<br />
I've taken out almost 2 full garden beds this year. Between whirlygigs and droughts it's become a little much. Let's see if I regret this, although I do to some extent, I know it will be a little easier to take care of next year.</div><br />

<div align="left">The drought and extreme temperatures usually in the 90's and 100's has really taken it's toll on my gardens. I thought I would show some of my Hemerocallis or commonly known as Daylilies which thankfully are dependable no matter what, although foliage has sure been burning up. I've lost a lot of plants this year and a lot of other plants have been dug up, potted and put in shade in hopes of saving some things. I have a lot of spaces empty because of this.</div><br />
<div align="center"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/DLWineberryCandy.jpg" /></div><div align="left">Wineberry Candy is a beautiful combination of contrasting colors.</div><br />

This is a constant rebloomer. Blooms were done for and within a couple weeks it was already reblooming.</div><br />

<div align="center"><img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/Family712.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></div><div align="left">The family garden is still looking decent even with the constant 90's and some days over 100, but it's taking it's toll. These are photos from a couple weeks ago. Afraid the last couple weeks with too many days in the 100's has really ruined my gardens for the year and I most likely won't have much to post after this.</div><br />
<div align="center"><img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/ButterflyGarden712.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></div><div align="left">The Echinacea, Daisies and Coreopsis are all blooming in the heat which they tend to handle much better than a lot of other perennials.</div><br />
<div align=center><img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/BackLine712.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></div><div align="left">The backline is surviving but the extreme heat hit so early this year that I haven't had any significant growth on my flowering shrubs which is a big disappointment as I wait for them to grow up. Most of the Hydrangea are blooming and others have buds that are opening up now.</div><br />
<div align="center"><img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/BackRtCorner612.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></div><div align="left">The back corner with the Viburnum Autumn Jazz is through blooming and setting up the berries for winter. No further blooms on my Clematis there so hoping again that this has not totally burned up this year as the second one is gone.</div><br />

The only thing here that is not evergreen are the Iris and a small grouping of Hyacinth. The majority of the rest is Heuchera, Lavender and I just this last couple weeks added another ground cover, which there will be two to help fill up the space to the path. I figure by season's end this should be pretty much filled in. The closer side of the path is mainly groundcover waiting to fill in. Can't do much else there since it floods there from the neighbors.</div><br />

Between droughts, summer weather during Winter which enabled most of our plants to leaf out and mother nature dared to tease us and take it back. My garden has been hit a lot, fortunately not everything but with some things only time will tell.</div><br />
<div align="center"><img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/MalusPurplePrinceCrabappleSpring.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></div><div align="left">Malus Purple Prince - Crabapple had a beautiful blooming season. Very early as with everything else, but I got to see a couple weeks of the beautiful flowers before a hard freeze took out so much here in this area as well as across the country.</div><br />
<div align="center"><img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/PeonyTree412.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></div><div align="left">The Peony tree blooms earlier than my regular Peony and has a couple blooms started. Since the freeze hit so hard here, I am not sure if these will open or not.</div><br />
<div align="center"><img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/Hosta412.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></div><div align="left">Just a few of my Hosta coming up here, way too early. Quite a number of my Hosta have been severly affected by the freeze. I haven't decided if I will cut them to the ground and let them completely leaf out again or just cut off the freeze damaged leaves. Since it's either all of the Hosta affected or the greatest part of them, I probably will cut the affected ones completely down. Several of these that were up this much were some of the affected ones.</div><br />
<div align=center><img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/Bloomerang412.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></div><div align="left">This Bloomerang Lilac had just started opening her blooms so am not sure if they will finish or not. I hope it didn't hurt it for any reblooming either.</div><br />
<div align=center><img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/PiceaAReflexaSpring.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></div><div align="left">Picea abies Reflexa. This is a weeper so the height is totally controlled to how tall I want it. Since electric lines are above, I couldn't have anything really tall. Well all I can say is that I am glad a lot still hadn't bloomed or leafed out and that I have some conifers to look at. That Solomon's Seal coming up on each side of the Viburnum in back with a Painted Fern in front of those. The Ferns were affected by the freeze. I hope things improve here and around the country for this gardening season.</div><br />

Unfortunately I still have a lot of work to do cleaning and going through things. When I originally bought this house many years ago, the garage had already been converted into one big room. Short time later I changed it to two rooms. The time came for it to go back to a garage.</div><br />
<div align="center"><img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/WelcomePot212.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></div><div align="left">Thought I would start off with the welcome planter which welcomes you at my front door, shown with Sedum Blue Spruce.</div><br />
<div align="center"><img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/HeatherHill212.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></div><div align="left">The Heather Hill. We had so little snow this year, not that I am complaining but this shows the largest amount that fell here this year. My favorite garden during the Winter. It's so nice to pull in the driveway and see this lovely area during the dreary months. I've ordered a few new Heathers to fill in this a little more towards the front area and they will be going in soon.</div><br />
<div align="center"><img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/GarageToreUp112.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></div><div align="left">This is the old family room and den after demolition. Forgive the spotting, even my camera had drywall dust on the lens that I didn't realize at the time. Before starting the project but after special ordering 3 new entry doors, I called <a href="http://www.ablazesidingdaytonohio.com/">Ablaze Home Improvement</a> and said I could not live without atleast a small space at the end of the garage for a small mudroom/office/grooming room. That's when this became a renovation and no longer a project. This is the mess tearing out the walls that separated this into 2 rooms. I also realized that the stuff I had moved out into this room hoping to work around was a problem. That evening I moved all that out under my semi-enclosed patio.</div><br />
<div align=center><img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/DRToreUp112.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></div><div align="left">This meant closing up the current doorway opening in the dining room to the garage and opening a new doorway at the end of this area of the dining room which would be into the new office and then the entry door to the garage from there. We tore out the drywall on both of these dining room walls also since they were papered before and the drywall really needed replaced, and added wall insulation with the new walls. The backdoor you see out to the patio was also replaced and storm door at the same time.</div><br />
<div align=center><img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/DR112.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></div><div align="left">It was a lot of work from what you saw above, but here is the dining room with new drywall, new paint and new doorway opening and trim to the office.</div><br />
<div align="center"><img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/Ofc112.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></div><div align="left">Closer view into the new office. It's not real big and since it's mostly for me <a href="http://www.goldenrayyorkies.com/GroomingYorkies.html">grooming Yorkies</a> in, it works well for me. The door to the garage is immediately to the left here. There is beadboard on three walls and the new wall with the door is painted.</div><br />
<div align="center"><img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/GarageCar112.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></div><div align="left">The interior of my new garage. Two of the walls I left the paneling on and painted the new wall separating the office. My garage floor is ceramic tiled though and apparently not a problem with my car on it. Thankfully I won't have the demolition of that also being tore out. :)</div><br />
<div align="center"><img src="http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/sunraygardens/2012/GarageDoor.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></div><div align="left">My new garage door. I liked this design and the grooves very much fit the pattern with my new plank entry doors. It's so nice to go out and just hit a button for the garage, drive off without cleaning off car windows and was past time for me to look ahead at what I can do as I've been doing with my gardens and changing over to a lot of shrubs.</div><br />
<div align="left">This renovation required me to take out my wood burning stove which then required repairing the roof where the venting went through it. There just wasn't room for it in the little office, but I hated having to let go of my alternate heat source. We had to remove the light fixtures in both rooms and add 2 new ones in different locations. New flooring in the office also since what I had didn't work for the size of the room. Now the big problem I'm dealing with is 2 rooms of things to get rid of. I'm currently preparing for a huge garage sale. Hard to let go of so many things, but times change.</div><br />
